Last Month - Guy Fawkes

Yes yes I know a little delayed... but I only just got the chance to upload the pics! We celebrated fire work night on the 10th instead of the 5th of November as it was also my husbands birthday and we watched the show for free from his parents garden  after a lovely home made spaghetti bolognaise!
I assume that all my reader's know about why we Brits celebrate firework night but in case some of you don't it is basically the celebration of a man sentenced to death for treason many years ago after he and some 'friends' very nearly blew up our Houses Of Parliament, (secretly we are all celebrating the fact that he got so close to achieving it rather than that he didn't). Every year there are professional fire work display's with bonfire's built with straw men on top representing Guy Fawkes, I think a common myth is that he was burned at the stake, but in fact he committed suicide before they could hang him.

Remember remember the fifth of November
                                       Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
                                             Should ever be forgot...
