Christmas Market

It's that time of year again, and markets are popping up all over the country. The local one to me is held every year in Bath and is quite something with all the little sheds lit up at night. In my last employment with the chocolate factory I spent a few years holding the stall in the evenings up there as they always have a shed each year! It is always freezing and I have a lot of respect for the people who sit up there all day selling their wares! This year it is a bit bigger than last and has new stalls in Bath street and 16 new stalls at Milsom Place. They are mainly in the square alongside the Abbey which is illuminated at night and really is spectacular! The stalls themselves stock all sorts of unique hand made or unusual gifts from local companies and there is something for everyone. There are plenty of food stalls too selling mulled wine and cider or bailey's hot chocolates with homemade mince pies, soups and hot dogs. One of my favorite stalls sells  assortments of caramalised nuts, some with added coconut or ginger, they are wonderful and best eaten hot strait from the stand, they are a London company and therefore I cannot purchase them throughout the rest of the year, so it's something I really enjoy and associate with Christmas!
