I Just Can't Take It Anymore!

I loved the colour, and it looked even better after I had dyed again last week, but the crunch point was also the at the same time. It stained everything!! The bath is blue, the sink is blue, my nails were blue, my ears were blue... I could go on! This isn't even from being naive and failing to wear gloves - I used Vaseline all round my hair line and over my ears as I always have, it stains nails and skin just from general contact, even when dry!! Hence my nails being blue, just running my hands through it made them blue, and stained my ears too. Washing it out meant it stained the bath tub and I'm going to have to get some heavy duty cleaner to get it off, same with the sink, small splatters from application have stained the porcelain! So, I phoned my hairdresser friend with an "I just can't it it anymore!" and on Monday we went over it with my old faithful - the Live Colour Ultra Violet. It is definitely purple, but as we dyed it over the blue it has gone a different shade of purple to before, and is very blackcurrant now rather than plum.

It's nice though and this I can live with - Plus it won't stain everything every time I top it up. Once the blue washes out it'll be back to it's former glory! So the moral of this post is, Blue looks amazing, but it's difficult to achieve in the first instance, it wasn't cheap, it does not come in a permanent variety, it stains your skin and nails even when dry, and is just a lot of hassle in general!
My hair has been left in terrible condition from all the bleach also, and I will need to apply some intensive conditioning treatments, this is another reason we applied the purple over the top of blue - to avoid bleaching it again and risking an adverse affect.
We live and learn, this is something I wanted to see if I could achieve, I am proof that if you so wish, it can be done, though you do need to have a professional to do it, I wouldn't advise a DIY job at home when it comes to the bleaching process that comes before the application of the blue.
It was worth doing but I am happy it's now purple and feel that this  is more my colour and suits my skin tone much better too, I prefer the plum that I achieved before but am confident that in a month or so the blue will have faded out almost completely and the purple will then be the ultra violet that it is meant to be.
