Blue

What feels like eons ago, I wrote in my Blonde Ambition post about how I had bleached my hair blonde to make way for a blue do after getting inspiration from an image of Katy Perry with her blue hair for the smurfs movie - http://ladykstrangefruite.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/blonde-ambition.html 

Well on Wednesday I finally went for that long awaited appointment. I had to put it off due to changing jobs and cash flow, switching from weekly pay to monthly takes some adaption, but now that the dust has settled I figured I'd shake it up a little. Although I was blonde already we needed to strip it out again and get my hair as light as possible before we could apply the blue. We bleach bathed it first which came out perfectly, it was almost white once dry! I was half tempted to keep it that colour! 

We followed the bleach bath with a permanent blue dye the salon has, but we knew it probably wouldn't grab the hair the way we wanted it to. It worked really well but was a bit too washed out in appearance and we decided to put a semi-permanent over the top from Stargazer to really give it a kick, which sure worked!! I love it. I've had a few derogatory comments from a few lower life forms but in general the feedback has been good, and I'm happy to keep rocking this look for a little while - well, until I get fed up of dying it every few washes anyway!
