As if my Grampy hadn't been through enough, last night he was taken into theater for the forth major operation in 10 days. Unfortunately the remaining part of his colon had begun to leak and therefore the bodies waste products were seeping into his abdominal cavity. The surgeon's had sat down with the close family and in not so many words said the outcome of this operation was bleak. After 2 and half hours they brought my Grampy back up to the ITU ward very much alive, and the op had been successful. This does mean we are now back to square one with his recovery, and it is touch and go, so more hoping praying and waiting for him to pull through. The doctors think he's worked miracles already and is such a fighter to have made it through all of these procedures in under a fortnight, at 82, that is quite some feat. He's the strongest man ever.
