Yesterday my mum and I travelled to Bath for some retail Hell. Finding her a mother of the bride outfit for my wedding in June. This was undoubtedly going to be difficult, as my mum is the worst person at finding a dress. Fussy is an understatement. And true to form, yesterday was no exception. The first shop we stopped in was a lovely little boutique we stumbled upon with gorgeous 20's - 50's style clothing right up to some present day pieces. We found 2 dresses on particular that were beautiful, a racing green with a deep pink lace overlay, and a green/beige with pink flowers and teal butterflies. She debated for more than an hour, taking them on off, on off. We stopped for lunch and to mull over the dresses she had tried, I had taken photographs of her in each and we had a flick through.
After tapas & eggs we trailed through dozens of other stores to no avail and found ourselves back at the first boutique. Again the merry go round of on off, on off, and after another hours deliberation she finally settled on the superb floaty number with the butterflies. By this point we had matched up a gorgeous embroidered pink cardigan, and some Vivienne Westwood shoes. She looks wonderful.
